Harry –
I wasn’t initially interested in these, I have 6 of the Dillon tool-head holders mounted on a turntable on my loading bench. As I am thinking ahead about adding another caliber, I thought I’d check these out. Wow. One of these costs LESS than one of the Dillon stands; and it holds 3 sets of tool-heads with the shell plate and pins. They are light, rigid, and strong. More measuring ahead, but at a glance it looks like I can mount at least 3 of these on my turntable, maybe 4! Seriously, with 3 of the 3 tool head holders I’m ready for 9 tool-heads; 2 more than I need for my planned addition. I could use one for my collet bullet puller tool-head and one for my designated resizer tool-head…
With these storage trays the tool-head sits directly on the stand, with holes for all of the die positions and for the powder checker probe. There is no central pin to sit the tool-head on, and that’s great because some of my older tool-heads don’t fit onto the pin in the newer Dillon tool-head holders. All of my stuff fits onto these storage trays without issue. Calibers I have include 30-06, 375 H&H, 45 ACP, 44 Mag… all have plenty of space for tool-head, plate, and pins. 3 tool-heads fit a single storage tray, for 20 bucks. Amazing…
Anyone want to buy some used Dillon tool-head stands?
